بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
Allah’s name to begin, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Holy Quran 3:81

وَإِذْ أَخَذَ اللَّهُ مِيثَاقَ النَّبِيِّينَ لَمَا آتَيْتُكُم مِّن كِتَابٍ وَحِكْمَةٍ ثُمَّ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ مُّصَدِّقٌ لِّمَا مَعَكُمْ لَتُؤْمِنُنَّ بِهِ وَلَتَنصُرُنَّهُ ۚ قَالَ أَأَقْرَرْتُمْ وَأَخَذْتُمْ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكُمْ إِصْرِي ۖ قَالُوا أَقْرَرْنَا ۚ قَالَ فَاشْهَدُوا وَأَنَا مَعَكُم مِّنَ الشَّاهِدِينَ
And remember when Allah took a covenant from the Prophets; “If I give you the Book and knowledge and the (promised) Noble Messenger (Prophet Muhammad - Allah’s Blessings upon Him and His Followers and Salutation) comes to you, confirming the Books you possess, you shall positively, definitely believe in him and you shall positively, definitely help him”; He (Allah) said, “Do you (all) agree, and accept My binding responsibility in this matter?” They all answered, “We agree”; He (Allah) said, “Then bear witness amongst yourselves, and I Myself am a witness with you.”
Philosophy
This is an extraordinary charm of Qura’n that it describes the vivid events of past, present and future so beautifully that it feels like it is happening in front of our eyes and we are witnessing. In an important ceremony detailed above, Allah had all the Prophets (Elayhim Salam) present, even they had not been sent down to the earth and a highly special oath was being taken and recorded. Interestingly, Rasool Allah (Allah’s Blessings upon Him and His Followers and Salutation) does not appear to be among all the Prophets (Elayhim Salam) in that event, and rather is uniquely mentioned and declared as the leader of all the Prophets (Elayhim Salam) by Allah.
